It’s best to choose a start date so that there will be no interruptions or school breaks during the 22-day course. For example, if spring break begins on April 15th, and you want to make sure students can finish everything by that date, you would set your launch date to March 25th. We’ve learned over time that Monday start dates are not ideal, because that means all lessons will unlock on Mondays. Given that Mondays are more likely to be a holiday than other days of the week, we recommend choosing a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday for your start date.
If you need to change the start date after you created your class, you can do so from the “Active Classes” tab on the left side. Once on the “Active Classes” page, click on the class that you want to change the start date of, and then click “Course schedule” at the top of your screen. Select a start date on the calendar to preview the course schedule, and click “Update” to change the class schedule.
Please note that we do not recommend changing the start date after students have begun completing the course. While it is possible to change the start date after students have begun the course, it may create some unanticipated technical issues.
