Research reveals that this course can be beneficial for students. It has led to significant improvements in stress management, emotion regulation, and classroom focus. Part of the reason this course is beneficial is because it changes students’ beliefs about focus. It leads to significant increases in growth mindsets about attention, motivation to practice, and confidence on how to train their focus. If a student believes she can increase her focus, is motivated to try, and knows how to do it, she is more likely to reap the consequences.
