There are two options for how students can create their accounts. If your school uses Google-based email, your students can sign up using Google SSO (Single Sign-On). Otherwise, students can use their email address to manually sign up for an account. In either case, students will need an invite code. You will find the invite code in your teacher interface by clicking on that specific class.
Option 1: Google SSO
When students use SSO, there is no risk of typos and no need to find the confirmation email in their inbox to verify their account. Students simply click the button that says “Sign up with Google”.
Option 2: Manual Account Creation
Students can also manually sign up for an account by entering their invite code, name, email address, and chosen password. Students then need to confirm their email address by logging into their inbox and clicking “Confirm Now” in the email from: support@findingfocus.app, where they will receive a 4-digit code that they can enter on the account creation page. This email might appear in a spam folder or other filter folder.
